It’s a hard shot, I’ve tried many times and still haven’t mastered this one. The contrast between light and dark is so great it makes this one of the toughest dawn/sunrise shots to get.

I wanted to get my safe shot in before experimenting a bit. I’m happy I experimented. This was taken using two filters; a 2 stop ND and a circular polarizer. I find the combination of those two often results in great motion blur and very strong colours which don’t require much tweaking in post. If you have any similar or even wildly different technique tips please share them in the comments.
